I am proud that in 2014, Gluten-Free Steph was nominated as one of the top gluten-free bloggers in the country. And in September 2014, was featured in Delight Gluten-Free Magazine as the Blogger of the Week.
I am gluten-free, now what?
Living gluten-free, whether you have Celiac Disease , gluten intolerance or choose to be, is a challenge.
For us foodies, it can feel like the world as we know it is over. And in many respects this is true.
No more late night McDonald’s when you’re hungry and in a pinch. No more sharing chicken wings and nachos when you’re out with your friends for trivia night. The list goes on and on and on.
So how do you eat out being gluten-free but still get good tasting food? The truth is that eating out is one of the hardest parts about being gluten free (in my experience).
Anytime you want to eat out you have to make sure to do your homework:
- Which restaurants offer gluten free options?
- Is it safe to eat there?
- Do the options sound appealing?
- Is the restaurant conveniently located?
- Are there options for your friends who aren’t gluten-free?
This is where Gluten Free Steph comes in.
With the help of me, Gluten Free Steph, you can quickly and easily look-up restaurants in NYC based on your geographic location that are gluten-free friendly or offer gluten-free options that taste great. You’ll be able to see my personal review of the restaurant, gluten-free food, service, price and overall experience all from the perspective of a foodie with celiac disease.
If you end up eating at a one of the reviewed restaurants, please share your experience, what you ate and any pictures! Also, if you have any recommendations on gluten-free friendly or gluten-free restaurants in NYC please share. I will make a point to check it out and write a review with a nice shout out to you!
Eat up my fellow gluten-free foodies.
