When was the last time you ate delicious, gluten free pasta that you felt truly safe eating at a restaurant? If you’re anything like me then it has probably been a long time.
Well you should thank your lucky stars because New York City’s Celiac Meetup group is hosting an amazing gluten free pasta event on Wednesday, June 11th in Brooklyn, NY! Not only will you have the opportunity to meet with fellow gluten free foodies and eat delicious gluten free pasta but you’ll also be able to chat with Chef Mark Ladner who will show you how he makes it. Cool, right?
Chef Ladner is a great advocate for the gluten free community. According to the New York City Celiac Meetup group he is, “launching a Kicktstarter for his gluten-free certified pasta bowl restaurant named Pasta Flyer”. His goal is, “to have diners with celiac and gluten allergies who love pasta and haven’t been able to have a great pasta experience, come to Pasta Flyer and say, ‘Wow, this is how I remember it tasting!’ and trigger that taste memory.” Well Chef Lauder, I must say you rock and I can’t wait to try you pasta!
If you aren’t already a member of New York City’s Celiac Meetup group I highly recommend you join. It’s a judgement free zone for anyone who’s gluten free (celiac disease, gluten intolerance, by choice, etc.) The Celiac Meetup group is a great place to stay current with the latest industry news, best practices for living a gluten free lifestyle, fun events and of course, support.
